资源简介:
Escherichia coli is an ubiquitous bacteria . Although some strains may live as harmless inhabitants of the human lower intestine, others can cause urinary tract infection, bacteremia and intestinal illness. E. coli is known to produce different types of resistance enzymes such as extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (TEM-1), dihydrofolate reductase (DFRA14) and aminoglycoside acetyltransferase (APH(3’)-IA). Recently, a new gene conferring resistance to polymyxins, named as mcr-1 has been identified in clinically significant Gram-negative bacteria, particularly E. coli. This gene contributes to the multidrug resistance of E. coli, thereby limiting therapeutic alternatives.
