Steroid hormone levels by mass spectometry in the Milieu Interieur cohort

Seventeen steroid hormones (11-deoxycortisol, cortisol, cortisone, 11-deoxycorticosterone, corticosterone, aldosterone, 17-OHP, progesterone, estrogens [E1 and E2], androstenedione, androsterone, DHEA, DHEAS, DHT, etiocholanolone, and testosterone) were measured in participants from the Milieu Intérieur cohort. Hormone levels were quantified using Biocrates assays. The processed data consist of two .tsv files: one for V1 (1,000 individuals) and one for the V3 study (413 paired donors assessed 10 years after V1).

We measured 17 steroid hormones by Mass Spectrometry in the cohort of Milieu Interieur to quantify their changes with age in healthy female and male donors, and to study additional sources of inter-individual variance. The measurements were performed at two time points separated by a 10-year interval to enable a longitudinal study of how specific variables evolve over time.

本研究针对Milieu Intérieur队列的参与者，检测了17种类固醇激素（steroid hormones），具体包括：11-脱氧皮质醇（11-deoxycortisol）、皮质醇（cortisol）、可的松（cortisone）、11-脱氧皮质酮（11-deoxycorticosterone）、皮质酮（corticosterone）、醛固酮（aldosterone）、17-羟孕酮（17-OHP）、孕酮（progesterone）、雌激素（estrogens，涵盖E1与E2）、雄烯二酮（androstenedione）、雄酮（androsterone）、脱氢表雄酮（DHEA）、硫酸脱氢表雄酮（DHEAS）、二氢睾酮（DHT）、本胆烷醇酮（etiocholanolone）及睾酮（testosterone）。激素水平通过Biocrates检测试剂盒（Biocrates assays）完成定量。处理后的数据包含两份TSV（.tsv）格式文件：一份对应V1队列（纳入1000名受试者），另一份对应V3研究（在V1随访10年后对413名配对捐赠者进行评估）。
我们通过质谱法（Mass Spectrometry）对Milieu Intérieur队列的样本开展17种类固醇激素的检测，旨在量化健康男女捐赠者体内激素随年龄的变化特征，并探究个体间差异的其他潜在来源。本次检测设置了间隔10年的两个时间节点，以此支持针对特定变量随时间演变规律的纵向研究。
