Vertical flow constructed wetlands in classical French type was used for treatment of greywater at household level. Pollutant removal mechanism was studied by identifying microbial community in constructed wetland along with functional annotation in terms of xenobiotics, aromatic, nitrogen and phosphorus removal from greywater by metagenomic analysis sequenced on illumina platform.
