Vietnamese refugees in Australia, 1982; the first cohort

This study of the first large wave of Vietnamese refugees in Australia aimed to locate the factors which have shaped the different patterns of their resettlement. Such factors relate to experiences both in Vietnam and in the early post arrival period in Australia. Questions covered education and occupation in Vietnam and Australia, group membership, friends, contact with official bodies, health, changes to life, attitudes, intentions, and things missed in Australia. Background variables include religion, ethnicity and languages spoken.

本研究针对澳大利亚首批大规模越南难民群体展开，旨在识别塑造其安置模式差异的各类影响因素。此类影响因素涵盖难民在越南境内的经历，以及抵达澳大利亚初期的相关体验。调研问卷覆盖的内容包括：难民在越南及澳大利亚的教育与职业状况、团体成员身份、社交朋友圈、与官方机构的往来情况、健康状况、生活变迁、个人态度与意向，以及在澳期间思念的事物。背景变量包含宗教信仰、族裔背景及所使用的语言。
