Man's head

Reddish brown clay. The back of the head and the face show minor damage. On the underside of the head is a modern mounting hole smeared with glue. A piece has been chipped off at the centre of the forehead. The large bald head of an Egyptian shows a projecting skull and an angular shape. The features of the elongated face are characterised by the high, pronounced cheekbones, the broad nose and the straight, bulging lips. Above the eyes, descending quite far into the forehead, a hand-modelled bulge is indicated, from which a piece has broken out. This is probably a bandage.
