0.753 g (5 mmol) of thymol and 1.655g (5.5 mmol) of nonadecanoic acid was measured out. In a round bottom flask with a magnetic stirrer bar, 15mL of acetonitrile, 0.5 mmol of DMAP and 6.5 mmol of EDC·HCl was added. Then the acid and thymol were added add with the aid of acetonitrile (10 mL) each. Heater and stirring was turned on after the condenser was set to run (100 °C). TLC assessments were carried out every half an hour to monitor the reaction process. At the end of the day, stopped the water running and heater block. The reaction solution appeared to be creamy and thick at room temperature.

称取0.753 g(5 mmol)百里酚(thymol)与1.655 g(5.5 mmol)十九烷酸(nonadecanoic acid)。在装有磁子的圆底烧瓶中,加入15 mL乙腈(acetonitrile)、0.5 mmol 4-二甲氨基吡啶(DMAP)与6.5 mmol 1-乙基-(3-二甲基氨基丙基)碳二亚胺盐酸盐(EDC·HCl)。随后分别用10 mL乙腈将称取的十九烷酸与百里酚转移并加入反应体系。安装冷凝管并开启冷凝水后,开启加热与搅拌装置,设置反应温度为100 ℃。每半小时进行一次薄层色谱(TLC)分析以监测反应进程。反应结束后,关闭冷凝水与加热套。待反应体系冷却至室温后,溶液呈乳脂状且较为粘稠。
