Dataset for: Temporal variability of 14C reservoir effects and sedimentological chronology analysis in lake sediments from Chibuzhang Co, North Tibet (China)

The dataset was obtained by lab analyses, from a 5.48 m-long core sampled from Chibuzhang Co, a lake in north Tibet, China, which contained two obvious obstacles: high reservoir effects and age reversals. We confirmed that a relationship bettween reverse ages and mean GS and carbonate contents, indicating temporal changes of 14C reservoir effects involved in carbonate input and meltwater or old material, which was suitable for sedimentological chronology analysis.

本数据集通过实验室分析获取，其样品采自中国藏北赤布张错（Chibuzhang Co）的一处长5.48米的岩芯。该岩芯存在两处显著干扰因素：强碳储库效应（reservoir effects）与年代倒转现象。我们证实，年代倒转数据与平均GS值、碳酸盐含量之间存在显著关联，这表明14C碳储库效应的时间变化与碳酸盐输入、融水或古老物质的作用相关，该数据集适用于沉积学年代学分析。
