Using multiplexed gene expression analysis, we analyzed autopsy lungs of up to 7 COVID-19 and 7 Influenza lungs and compared them to up to 10 healthy non-infected control lungs for differences in gene expression of angiogenesis- and inflammation associated genes. A statistical comparison using Student’s t-test followed by calculation of false discovery rates (FDR, controlled at a level of 0.05) revealed shared and distinct gene expression patterns for both disease groups.

本研究采用多重基因表达分析技术,对至多7例新冠(COVID-19)感染肺组织、7例流感病毒感染肺组织的尸检样本展开分析,并与至多10例健康非感染对照肺组织进行比对,旨在探究血管生成相关基因与炎症相关基因的表达差异。采用学生t检验(Student’s t-test)进行统计学比较后,进一步计算错误发现率(false discovery rate, FDR,校正阈值设为0.05),结果显示两类疾病组存在共有与特异的基因表达谱。
