Randomized N=1 Clinical Trial of Selenium Yeast Supplementation in Genetically Mediated Subclinical Hypothyroidism

This study investigates the therapeutic potential of selenium yeas supplementation in individuals with genetic polymorphisms (rs2235544, rs2076740, rs180223) known to impair deiodinase- mediated conversion of thyroxine (T4) to triiodothyronine (T3). Through a randomized, blinded N=1 trial, we evaluate whether selenium repletion can restore thyroid hormone balance, improve autonomic tone, and reduce symptoms associated with subclinica hypothyroidism
