资源简介:
The objective of the present study was to investigate individuals' decision to adhere to adapted physical activity (APA) program using the Push, Pull, Anti-Push, Anti-Pull (2PAP) model. To this end, we performed an exploratory qualitative study and a quantitative study. Thirty adults participated in the qualitative and 400 adults took part in the quantitative study. In this latter, we performed first a parallel analysis of the data from each of the four dimensions (push, pull, anti-push, anti-pull) and secondly we conducted a confirmatory factor analysis. The results showed that the decision-making to adhere to a prescription-based APA program in a mountain environment were built around four dimensions from the 2PAP: push (12 items), pull (11 items), anti-push (7 items), and anti-pull (10 items). To promote APA programs in the mountain environment, healthcare facilities need to focus their communication on the physical and mental benefits that the mountain environment brings to patients. However, this communication must also reassure patients of their fears in relation to this environment, which may be seen as more restrictive, particularly for people with pathologies.
