Data supplementary to the manuscript: “Verapamil induces autophagy to improve liver regeneration in non-alcoholic fatty liver mice”.

<pre>This study proved that autophagy plays a key role in promoting liver regeneration, alleviating liver injury, and prolonging mice's survival after PH. The pharmacological regulation of verapamil on autophagy effectively promoted liver regeneration, hepatocyte production, and survival in mice and reduced liver injury in mice after PH. Autophagy is expected to become a key target for NAFLD treatment and open up a new direction for the prevention and treatment of obesity, T2DM, Mets, and other diseases.</pre>

本研究证实，自噬（autophagy）在肝部分切除术（Partial Hepatectomy, PH）后小鼠的肝再生、肝损伤缓解及生存期延长过程中发挥关键作用。维拉帕米（verapamil）对自噬的药理学调控，可有效促进肝部分切除术后小鼠的肝再生、肝细胞生成与存活，并减轻其肝损伤。自噬有望成为非酒精性脂肪性肝病（NAFLD）治疗的关键靶点，并为肥胖、2型糖尿病（T2DM）、代谢综合征（Mets）等疾病的防治开辟新方向。
