Hygieia as one of the ancient Greek healthy goddesses, whose statue is feeding a snake in symbol of “the edge of living and death”, thus makes snake of Hygieia to be regarded as one of paradoxical signifies. Such emblem fits in effect from game engagement to capacity to love of players in Chinese Otome context as this article revelled. With combination of game ontology and psychological theory, we adapt and extend mechanism model described game effect from interpersonal relationship perspective in Chinese Otome game context. Our research collected 444 validated Chinese player data while conducted SEM (Structural Equation Model) for analysis. The results reveled that: 1) Game engagement has an indirectly negative effect to CTL (capacity to love); 2) RHVA as one of the game elements, has a paradoxical effect including direct negative impact, and indirect positive impact through PE (positive emotionality) to CTL. Based on the conclusions, we call upon more attention on game subjectivity and possibility of game as therapy in latter research in the area.

许癸厄亚（Hygieia）是古希腊健康女神之一，其雕像正以乳汁哺育一条蛇，这一形象象征“生与死的边界”，因此许癸厄亚之蛇被视为兼具矛盾性的符号之一。正如本文所阐述的，这一符号在中文乙女游戏（Otome）语境中，其影响力覆盖玩家的游戏投入度至恋爱能力范畴。本文结合游戏本体论与心理学理论，从人际关系视角出发，针对中文乙女游戏语境构建并拓展了阐释游戏影响的机制模型。本研究共收集到444份有效中国玩家样本数据，并采用结构方程模型（Structural Equation Model，SEM）开展分析。研究结果显示：1）游戏投入度对恋爱能力（capacity to love，CTL）存在间接负向影响；2）作为游戏元素之一的RHVA具有矛盾性效应：既存在直接负向影响，又可通过积极情绪（positive emotionality，PE）对恋爱能力产生间接正向影响。基于上述研究结论，本文呼吁该领域后续研究应更多关注游戏的主体性价值，以及游戏作为疗愈手段的可能性。
