A dataset of 1000-seed Weight of 404 Forage Grasses in Northeast Grassland of China

Seed size is an important life history characteristic and functional trait of plants, which is of great significance for understanding the ecological adaptation of plants and the regulation mechanism of populations and communities. a. This dataset publicly reports the data of 1000-grain weight of seeds of 404 species from 210 genera and 44 families, including Gramineae, Cyperaceae, Leguminosae etc. in Songnen Northeast Grassland. We compared the difference among different families, life forms and habitats. This dataset can provide scientific basis for the protection and utilization of wild grass germplasm resources in natural grasslands, as well as the introduction, domestication and genetic breeding of fine grasses.
