Outstanding Employee Awards

Every spring, the Cambridge City Manager seeks nominations for the Outstanding City Employee Award (OEA). The OEA program recognizes City employees for their extraordinary contributions to public service, above and beyond job requirements. Individuals may nominate as many City employees as they choose, but must submit a separate nomination form for each nominee. An employee may not nominate their direct supervisor or department head. Please note that, with very few exceptions, an individual employee is eligible to receive the award only once. On rare occasions, however, circumstances may warrant multiple recognitions. For instance, in 2000 the entire Cambridge Police Bike Unit was recognized, and in 2002 the staff of the Cambridge DHSP Multi Service Center received the award.
