VPRS 16244 Committee/Council Meeting Minutes and Reports, Publications and Promotional Material

The Timber Promotion Council (previously known as Timber Promotion Committee from 1969 to 1975) was established in 1969 by Regulation under powers conferred by Section 99 of the Forests Act 1958. It was a body comprising representatives of the Secretary of the Department and of the timber industry, to promote the use of timber. The records were created to document the Committee's/Council's meetings and the performance of its functions. The records consist of volumes and files of meeting minutes and papers, correspondence files, films and photographs.This series consists of all the remaining records of the TPC following sentencing and destruction according to the appropriate Records Disposal Authorities. The files have alphanumeric numbers but it is not known what system was used to generate the numbers. As there are only a small number of records in the series, retrieval would be a simple process of text searching the Excel records listing.

木材推广委员会（Timber Promotion Council，以下简称TPC）于1969年依据《1958年森林法》第99条赋予的职权通过条例正式设立，1969年至1975年期间曾使用旧称木材推广委员会（Timber Promotion Committee）。该机构由部门秘书代表与木材行业代表组成，旨在推广木材的应用。本档案集的创建目的是记录该委员会/理事会的会议情况及其职能履行情况，档案涵盖会议纪要与相关文件合订本、零散文件、往来函件、胶片及照片。本系列包含TPC经相关档案处置当局作出处置裁定并完成销毁流程后留存的全部剩余档案。这些文件带有字母数字混合编号，但目前无法获知该编号的生成规则。由于本系列档案数量较少，仅需通过文本检索Excel档案清单即可完成检索工作。
