CA Threatened Bird and Amphibian Data 2020-2024

Dataset of threatened bird and amphibian species observations in California during breeding and nesting seasons from 2020–2024, created as part of the final project for Introduction to Geospatial Applications at California State University, Stanislaus.
Data were sourced from iNaturalist citizen science records collected between March 1 and August 31 of each year. The dataset includes species-level information, observation dates, geographic coordinates, and associated metadata, enabling calculation of species abundance, seasonal percent change, and spatial density across a statewide 5 km grid and county-level scale.
