Brazilian women announcements in the transnational sex industry on a Spanish website

Abstract This study combines quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the trends and behavior patterns of Brazilian sex workers on a Spanish website. The sample consisted of 486 ads taken from the website Pasion.com, between 2018-2019. We performed a statistical description of the advertised profiles followed by content analysis through data mining strategy, and the development of Poisson predictive models for countable data. The ads are distributed mainly in coastal tourist areas. The content analysis revealed codes of the sexual services offered and risk practices related to health and safety. Among the risk behaviors, terms were found that refer to unprotected sex and illicit drug use. Customer preferences include women with brown skin under 20 and over 40 who offer golden shower, alcohol and work independently.摘要 本研究结合定量与定性研究方法，对巴西性工作者在某西班牙语平台上的行为模式与发展趋势展开分析。研究样本为2018至2019年间从Pasion.com平台采集的486条广告帖。我们首先对广告所呈现的从业者画像进行统计描述，随后通过数据挖掘策略开展内容分析，并针对计数型数据构建了泊松（Poisson）预测模型。这些广告帖主要分布于沿海旅游区域。内容分析结果揭示了所提供性服务的相关表述，以及与健康和安全相关的风险行为。在风险行为相关表述中，发现了指代无保护性性行为与违禁药物使用的词汇。客户偏好涵盖年龄介于20岁以下及40岁以上的深肤色女性，且提供金浴（golden shower）、酒精相关服务并独立从业。
