16S rDNA of Momordica charantia stem flattening phytoplasma in Dali, Yunnan Province

Momordica charantia with flat stem symptoms naturally appeared in Dali, Yunnan Province, and it was suspected that the plant was caused by phytoplasma infection. The total DNA was extracted, and the universal primers R16mF2/R16mR2 and R16F2n/R16R2 were used to perform PCR amplification on the phytoplasma 16S rDNA, the PCR product was purified and sequenced, and the 16S rDNA sequence with a fragment size of 1229bp was obtained.The results of homology analysis and phylogenetic tree analysis showed that Momordica charantia stem flattening (MCSF-YNdl) was homologous to the 16SrXXXII group Phytoplasma Trema tomentosa witches-broom phytoplasma (MW138004).
