mock communities of silage isolates

isolates were taken before, during and after completion of alfafla and grass ensiling. Mock communities were created using these isolates. The strains were mixed in equal proportions based on either their OD or their DNA concentration and analyzed using the long-read sequencing platform offered by Pacific Biosciences. The results were used as control for 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing data of samples taken before, during and after ensiling of alfalfa and grass.
