Endeavour South Current Meter Deployed 2012-06-15

The Nortek Aquadopp Current Meter A2L2491 AQD2882 was deployed on 2012-06-15 at Endeavour South. This south section of the Endeavour Hydrothermal Vents includes two moorings to monitor the regional circulation. This device is a Current Meter. Acoustic Current Meters (ACM) measure current speed and direction, using the Doppler Effect. Aquadopp current metres have a sensor head that contains 3 acoustic transducers, a tilt sensor, a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor. The instrument transmits a short pulse of sound, and then listens to its echo to measure the change in pitch or frequency. The change in pitch can determine the velocity of the current. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.诺泰克（Nortek）Aquadopp型海流计A2L2491与AQD2882于2012年6月15日部署于恩德华南侧（Endeavour South）。恩德华热液喷口南侧区域设有两套锚系设备，用于监测区域环流。该设备为海流计，声学海流计（Acoustic Current Meters, ACM）借助多普勒效应测量海流流速与流向。Aquadopp海流计的传感器头内置3个声学换能器、一台倾斜传感器、一台温度传感器与一台压力传感器。该仪器发射短脉冲声波，随后接收回波以测量声频（音调）或频率的变化，通过音调变化即可推算海流流速。本次部署采用固定式平台搭载该仪器。本次部署获取的数据集已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外共享，所有数据均遵循既定规范开展质量管控并生成衍生数据产品。
