Extracellular recording from cells in cat primary visual cortex

These experiments were performed to measure the spatiotemporal receptive fields
of cortical cells. The data were obtained with extra-cellular recordings from
the primary visual cortex of anesthetized adult cats. Visual stimuli were
one-dimensional white noise (random bars) and two-dimensional stimuli
(natural images, natural phase, and random phase).

本实验旨在测量皮层细胞的时空感受野（spatiotemporal receptive fields）。实验数据通过对麻醉成年猫的初级视觉皮层（primary visual cortex）进行细胞外记录（extra-cellular recordings）获得。所用视觉刺激包括两类：一类为一维白噪声（随机条形刺激，random bars），另一类为二维刺激，涵盖自然图像、自然相位（natural phase）及随机相位（random phase）。
