Marine Bird observations, Arctic Integrated Ecosystem Research Program, shipboard surveys from fall 2017

These data a component of the AIES A component of the Arctic Integrated Ecosystem Research Program (IERP), sponsored by the North Pacific Research Board (NPRB), Collaborative Alaskan Arctic Studies Program (formerly the North Slope Borough/Shell Baseline Studies Program), Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), and the Office of Naval Research Marine Mammals and Biology Program. Ship-based surveys were conducted in the northern Bering, Chukchi and Beaufort Seas during following standard U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) strip-transect survey protocols. Seabird and marine mammal observations were conducted during daylight hours when the vessel was underway. The dlog survey files (.csv format) contain the observations of species, numbers, and behavior that were recorded during surveys, in addition to observations of environmental conditions.

本数据集为北极综合生态系统研究计划（Arctic Integrated Ecosystem Research Program, IERP）的组成部分，由北太平洋研究委员会（North Pacific Research Board, NPRB）、阿拉斯加北极合作研究计划（前身为北坡自治市/壳牌基线研究计划）、海洋能源管理局（Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, BOEM）以及海军研究办公室海洋哺乳动物与生物学项目资助。研究团队依据美国鱼类及野生动物管理局（U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, USFWS）标准条带样线调查规程，在白令海北部、楚科奇海与波弗特海开展船基调查。调查于船舶航行时段的白昼期间进行，记录海鸟与海洋哺乳动物的相关信息。后缀为.csv格式的dlog调查文件，除收录调查期间获取的环境状况观测数据外，还包含所记录的物种、种群数量及行为观测结果。
