Mythimna separata genome sequencing and assembly : Identification of the W sex chromosome

This project presents a high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of Mythimna separata, an agricultural pest. The assembly includes the W chromosome, which is 30.5 Mb in size. This genome provides valuable insights into sex determination, with the W chromosome playing a key role in female-specific sex determination via the ZW system.
