Total bacterial community changes within a laboratory-scale ammonia biofilter packed with rockwool mixture with water recycled system. The changes in the compositions of total bacterial community based on the taxonomic assignment were revelaed during the nitrogen accumulation process, where unknown nitrogen losses increased up to 39%. The sequencing of 16S rRNA gene revealed that the proportion of Proteobacteria, which contained numerous denitrifiers, increased during the course of the operation.
