Original image stacks of the larval parasitic mite found in Early Cretaceous (Albian) Archingeay-Les Nouillers (= Font-de-Benon quarry) fossil resin locality.<br>Material - Inclusion in opaque, light-brown piece of fossil resin trimmed to an approximate parallelepiped 0.5x0.5x1.5 mm and polished on four sides. Housed in the amber collection of the Geological Institute and Museum of the University of Rennes, France, with collection number IGR.ARC.183. Photographed in temporary glycerol mounts.<br>Imaging: Compound microscopes Nikon E-800, Zeiss AxioImager A2 and Leica DM 2500 with water-immersion (Nikon, 40x and 60x), dry and oil-immersion (Leica, Zeiss) brightfield, polarized and differential interference contrast and incident illumination were used. Stacks of images, comprising multiple focal planes, were obtained with digital cameras Nikon D 7000 on Nikon microscope, Zeiss Axiocam 506 color on Zeiss microscope and Leica DFC 450 on Leica microscope. Stacks were corrected for colour, brightness and noise with Adobe Lightroom, then exported to .jpg.<br><br>Microscope, illumination type and magnification are recorded in the folder title. Scale bars are provided along with images. Note that scale bar image is to be scaled 2x when used with files containing x0.5 in the name.<br>

本数据集包含采自早白垩世(阿尔布期)Archingeay-Les Nouillers(即Font-de-Benon采石场)琥珀产地的寄生螨幼虫原始图像堆栈。 样本详情:该寄生螨幼虫包裹于一块不透明浅棕色琥珀化石中,琥珀被修整为近似平行六面体(尺寸约0.5×0.5×1.5 mm),并对四个侧面进行了抛光处理。样本现保存于法国雷恩大学地质研究所与博物馆的琥珀馆藏中,馆藏编号为IGR.ARC.183。成像前采用临时甘油封片方式制备样本。 成像流程:使用尼康(Nikon)E-800、蔡司(Zeiss)AxioImager A2及徕卡(Leica)DM 2500复式显微镜(Compound microscope),搭载尼康40×、60×水浸物镜(water-immersion),以及徕卡、蔡司的干式物镜、油浸物镜(dry and oil-immersion);成像模式涵盖明场成像(brightfield)、偏光成像(polarized)、微分干涉对比(differential interference contrast)及落射照明(incident illumination)。通过配套数码相机采集多焦平面图像堆栈:尼康显微镜搭配尼康D 7000相机,蔡司显微镜搭配蔡司Axiocam 506彩色相机,徕卡显微镜搭配徕卡DFC 450相机。后续使用Adobe Lightroom对图像堆栈进行色彩、亮度与噪声校正,最终导出为.jpg格式文件。 所用显微镜型号、照明类型及放大倍数已记录于文件夹名称中。所有图像均附带比例尺。需注意:当文件名包含「x0.5」字样时,配套的比例尺图像需放大2倍后方可使用。
