Share of per capita pharmaceutical expenditure in Spain 2021, by region

In 2021, Andalusia was the Spanish community with the highest share of per capita pharmaceutical expenditure, estimated at approximately 18.2 percent of the total public pharmaceutical spending. Catalonia ranked second, with a per capita pharmaceutical spending of about 13.8 percent, while Madrid concentrated nearly 12 percent of the total per capita pharmaceutical expenditure in the country that year.
