Global GTS Surface METAR Data in ASCII format. Version 1.0

The Surface METAR Data set is one of several surface data sets collected by the National Center for Atmospheric Research/Earth Observing Laboratory (NCAR/EOL). Included in the data set are the global hourly METAR observations. These data are contained in monthly files which are in tarred bzip2 format (.tar.bz2). The data were acquired via the UNIDATA Local Data Manager (LDM).

地面METAR数据集是美国国家大气研究中心/地球观测实验室（National Center for Atmospheric Research/Earth Observing Laboratory，NCAR/EOL）所采集的多套地面数据集之一。本数据集涵盖全球逐小时METAR观测资料，所有数据均存储为采用.tar.bz2（经tar打包并bzip2压缩）格式的月度文件。该数据集通过UNIDATA本地数据管理器（Local Data Manager，LDM）获取。
