The trait of being motivated to help others is crucial for healthcare students. However, due to the uncertainty and negative impact of COVID-19, it is unclear whether the willingness of healthcare students to help others will be affected. The current study examined whether exposure to COVID-19 will impede their prosocial behaviors. Through two experiments involving exposure to COVID-19 information, the likelihood of engaging in prosocial behaviors were assessed among 81 healthcare students with different prosocial tendencies.
