资源简介:
Corymbia citriodora subsp. variegata (CCV) tree 1CCV2-054 was selected for sequencing based on a number of attributes, including its vigour, ease of propagation, disease resistance and for being widely used as pollen parent in the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (QDAF) breeding program (i.e. 19 females generating 3,226 progeny). The tree is a select from the Woondum provenance (near Gympie Queensland) and the genotype has been secured by cloning and establishment of ramets in multiple locations around Australia. Additionally 1CCV2-054 was crossed as pollen to two Corymbia torelliana females to generate around 370 F1 progeny, currently being used to generate high-density linkage maps.To validate expression of predicted genes, RNA sequencing was undertaken using mRNA isolated from 5 tissue types from the same ramet of 1CCV2-054 : expanding and fully expanded leaves, flower buds and initials, and bark.
