Soil Indicators Survey

The soil indicator survey was developed in Project 2.1.006 for the Soil CRC project MATCHING SOIL PERFORMANCE INDICATORS TO FARMING SYSTEMS. The survey was created for online completion (hard copies of the survey were available on request) comprising questions across a range of topics including:· Demographics: role / farming type and system / agricultural region / location,· What soil indicators are used on farm and the reason for using these,· What factors have influenced the choice of soil indicators. Were alternative soil indicators options considered,· How and in what ways have the chosen indicators influenced farm management practices, and· What other information/influences might inform their future soil indicator decisions.Response options to survey questions comprised Likert scale, multiple choice, yes/no and written responses. The survey was designed by the named researchers and informed by previous research (Dahlhaus et al., 2018; Harbison et al., 2018; Orgill et al., 2018) undertaken by the Soil CRC. Refinements to the survey instrument occurred following discussions between the researchers and a small working group that included project partners and industry stakeholder including representatives from farming systems groups (also known as grower groups).The survey was created as an online survey using the Qualtrics XM software, which was hosted by Federation University. 本土壤指标调查问卷是为土壤合作研究中心（Soil CRC）的“匹配土壤性能指标与农业系统”项目，在2.1.006号项目中开发完成。
该问卷支持线上填写（可根据申请提供纸质问卷），涵盖多主题调研问题，具体包括：
· 人口统计维度：岗位/农业经营类型与模式/农业区域/地理位置；
· 农场当前使用的土壤指标及其选用缘由；
· 影响土壤指标选择的各类因素，以及是否考量过其他备选土壤指标方案；
· 选定的土壤指标如何、在哪些维度对农场管理实践产生了影响；
· 可用于指导其未来土壤指标决策的其他信息或影响因素。

问卷问题的作答形式涵盖李克特量表（Likert scale）、选择题、是非判断题与开放式书面作答。本问卷由指定研究人员设计，并参考了Soil CRC此前开展的相关研究（Dahlhaus等，2018；Harbison等，2018；Orgill等，2018）。随后，研究人员与由项目合作伙伴及行业利益相关方（包括农业系统团体，又称种植者团体）代表组成的小型工作组开展研讨，对问卷工具进行了优化完善。

本问卷采用Qualtrics XM软件搭建线上版本，由联邦大学（Federation University）提供托管服务。本元数据记录的附件中包含问卷副本。
