Ivor Gurney's copy of 'War's Embers', published by Sidgwick and Jackson in May 1919. The inside cover is inscribed 'April 1925 / Ivor Gurney's markings'. The copy has pen annotations in Gurney's hand indicating where each poem was written. 'The Volunteer', shows annotations in pen in Gurney's hand, which he notes was written in Edinburgh.
