Over the past decade years, mobile learning has grown and the majority language learners are using various mobile language learning applications. This article aims to examine the role of mobile applications in language learning, focusing on their benefits and limitations for language learners. Drawing on recent academic studies, it highlights how mobile-assisted language learning improves accessibility, flexibility and motivation. At the same time, it addresses challenges such as lack of communicative depth and potential distractions. The findings suggest that while mobile applications are useful tools, they are most effective when integrated with traditional and interactive learning methods.
近十年来,移动学习领域发展迅猛,绝大多数语言学习者均在使用各类移动语言学习应用程序。本文旨在探讨移动应用在语言学习中的作用,重点分析其对语言学习者的优势与局限。本文依托近期学术研究成果,阐明了移动辅助语言学习(Mobile-Assisted Language Learning)如何提升学习的可及性、灵活性与学习动机;与此同时,也探讨了其存在的诸多挑战,例如交际深度不足以及潜在的注意力分散问题。研究结果表明,尽管移动应用是实用的学习工具,但唯有与传统学习及互动式学习方法相结合时,方能发挥最佳效用。
