Transcriptomes of human urine sediment and supernatant

Urine interfaces with distinct tissues from blood plasma and could therefore possibly reflect enriched signal for tissues and cell types with low abundance in plasma cell-free RNA. We isolated and sequenced RNA from the sediment and supernatant fractions from human urine samples (n = 6 healthy controls and n = 12 kidney stones) to determine the respective transcriptomes of urine sediment and supernatant.
