Data on Sanctions against Russia

This is hand-collected data on trade sanctions imposed by various countries against Russia. In particular, it includes sanctions only against Russian imports (or, the same, against exporting goods to Russia). The main variables are the country that imposes sanctions, the date when they become effective, and the product codes to which the sanctions apply.<br>There are two files. "Data_sanctions_original.dta" includes all of the data at its original level, that is up to 10-digit product codes. "data_sa_20241230.dta" instead is a subset of the first file, and it shows data at the 6-digit level or less. In particular, it implicitly assumes that if any 10-digit code within a 6-digit category is under sanctions, then the whole 6-digit category is considered as if under sanctions.
