This study explores the use of AI tools in academic writing among postgraduate master degree students. With the increasing reliance on technologies including ChatGPT, Grammarly, and QuillBot, the research investigates patterns of AI usage, perceived benefits, and the challenges faced by students. A quantitative survey was conducted with 90 postgraduate master degree students, analyzing their demographics, AI tool usage frequency, purposes of use, and ethical concerns. Findings reveal that AI tools significantly enhance writing efficiency, clarity, and organization. However, issues such as plagiarism risks, data privacy concerns, and the potential reduction of critical thinking skills were also identified. The study emphasizes the importance of balancing AI assistance with independent writing skills and highlights the need for universities to provide structured guidance on ethical AI usage. The findings offer important implications for integrating AI technologies in academic settings, aiming to enhance writing support while safeguarding academic integrity. Future research should focus on long-term impacts of AI tool use across diverse academic disciplines and cultural contexts.Recommendations include implementing AI literacy programs, plagiarism awareness workshops, and promoting responsible AI tool customization.
