Salmon Otolith Data from the 2020 Gulf of Alaska International Year of the Salmon Expedition@en

Otoliths were collected from salmon in the Northeast Pacific Ocean and analyzed for information about age and growth. These data were collected as part of the International Year of the Salmon (IYS) Gulf of Alaska High Seas Expedition conducted in February and March 2019, to further improve the understanding of factors impacting salmon early marine winter survival. Otolith thermal marks were also examined to help determine stock origin for pink and chum salmon.

研究人员从东北太平洋海域的鲑鱼体内采集耳石（otoliths），并对其开展年龄与生长相关信息的分析。本次数据采集工作隶属于2019年2月至3月实施的国际鲑鱼年（International Year of the Salmon, IYS）阿拉斯加湾公海考察航次，旨在进一步深化对影响鲑鱼海洋早期越冬存活率的各类因素的认知。同时，研究人员还对耳石热标记（otolith thermal marks）进行了检测，以辅助确定粉鲑（pink salmon）与狗鲑（chum salmon）的种群起源。
