Transcriptomic and epigenomic characterization of the novel Caulobacter regulator GapR

This study relates to the discovery of GapR, a conserved DNA-binding protein required for cell cycle progression in the dimorphic bacterium Caulobacter crescentus. We show that GapR only associates with DNA sequences of high AT content and shares target genes in common with cell cycle master regulators that mediate swarmer cell development.
