PHIDU - Screening (PHA) 2013-2015

This dataset, released March 2018, contains screening program information relating to Bowel screening, 2014/15; Breast screening, 2013 and 2014; and Cervical screening, 2013 and 2014. The data is by Population Health Area (PHA) 2016 geographic boundaries based on the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).\n\n[Population Health Areas](http://phidu.torrens.edu.au/help-and-information/about-our-data/geographical-structures/pha-overview), developed by PHIDU, are comprised of a combination of whole SA2s and multiple (aggregates of) SA2s, where the SA2 is an area in the ABS structure.\n\nFor more information please see the [data source notes](http://phidu.torrens.edu.au/data-archive/sha-aust/2015-onwards/phidu_data_sources_notes_2017.pdf) on the data.\n\nSource: Compiled by PHIDU based on data provided by the Department of Health from the National Bowel CancerScreening Program, 2014/15; BreastScreen NSW, BreastScreen Vic, BreastScreen SA, and BreastScreen ACT; the ABS Estimated Resident Population, 30 June 2013 and 30 June 2014; NSW Department of Health and NSW Central Cancer Registry, 2013 and 2014; Victorian Cervical Cytology Registry, 2013 and 2014; SA Cervix Screening Program, 2013 and 2014; Western Australia Cervical Cytology Register, 2013 and 2014; and ACT Cytology Register, 2013 and 2014; and the average of the ABS Estimated Resident Population, 30 June 2013 and 30 June 2014 (NSW, Vic, WA, SA andACT); with hysterectomy fraction data derived from the AIHW analysis of the National Hospital Morbidity Database, 2013-14.\n\n AURIN has spatially enabled the [original data](https://phidu.torrens.edu.au/social-health-atlases/data#social-health-atlas-of-australia-population-health-areas).
