The uploaded dataset corresponds to the data used in the article “Groundwater Quality Index Prediction and Aquifer Failure Risk Analysis Using Metaheuristic‑Tuned Artificial Neural Networks”, which has been accepted for publication in Scientific Reports. The dataset includes the physicochemical groundwater parameters employed for model development, analysis, and validation. In the MATLAB file, the variables are organized in the following order: {'Cl', 'Na', 'Mg', 'Ca', 'TDS', 'EC', 'pH', 'TH', 'SO4', 'HCO3', 'K', 'GQI'} These variables represent the key water quality indicators and the corresponding Groundwater Quality Index (GQI) values used throughout the study.
