Each aquatic site is surveyed once per year within the site-specific peak greenness window. As part of the survey percent riparian cover is collected at wadeable stream and river sites, but not collected at lake sites. Protocols are based on the U.S. EPA's Statewide Riparian Mapping protocol. Ten riparian transects are evenly distributed throughout the 1km wadeable stream sampling reach. At wadeable stream sites, at each transect, riparian canopy percent cover measurements are taken at 3 points along each transect: the wetted center of the stream, 0.3m from the wettted edge of the left bank, and 0.3 m from wetted edge of the right bank. At the center stream sampling point, 4 densiometer readings are taken facing upstream, downstream, river right, and river left; at the left and right banks a single densiometer reading is taken, facing the bank. At river sites, percent canopy cover is collected at 1 point located about 0.3m from the wetted river edge at five of ten paired plots. The plot nearest the river thalweg is selected and the following measurements are collected from the boat at 0.3m above the water: upstream, downstream, river right, and river left. Instrumentation:

所有水生监测点位均在各点位专属的植被峰值绿度窗口期内开展年度1次的调查工作。作为调查内容的一部分，河岸覆盖率（riparian cover）数据采集仅在可涉水溪流（wadeable stream）与河流点位实施，湖泊点位不开展该项采集。本次调查规程基于美国环境保护署（U.S. EPA）发布的《全州河岸绘图规程》制定。在1公里长的可涉水溪流采样河段内，均匀布设10条河岸样带。针对可涉水溪流点位，每条样带需在3个点位采集河岸冠层覆盖率数据：溪流临水中心、距左岸临水边缘0.3米处，以及距右岸临水边缘0.3米处。在溪流中心采样点，需分别朝向上游、下游、河右岸及河左岸四个方向获取4组密度计（densiometer）读数；在左右两岸采样点，仅需朝向岸侧获取1组密度计读数。针对河流点位，需在10组配对样地中的5组内，于距河流临水边缘约0.3米处的1个点位采集冠层覆盖率数据。选取最靠近河流深泓线（thalweg）的样地，在距水面0.3米高的作业船上，分别朝向上游、下游、河右岸及河左岸四个方向采集相关数据。仪器设备：
