We generated and analyzed 11 Vibrio genomes isolated from Symbiodiniaceae-enriched fractions of Acropora nobilis to investigate their potential roles in coral holobiont function. Despite known virulence potential, these Vibrio strains were consistently associated with Symbiodiniaceae and carried genes linked to beneficial traits such as vitamin biosynthesis and antioxidant production. Their persistent presence and genomic features suggest potential mutualistic interactions rather than strictly pathogenic roles. This genomic resource enables a reassessment of Vibrio’s ecological roles and opens new directions for understanding microbial contributions to coral resilience.
