PSRJ2039-5627 is a newly gamma and radio binary pulsar discovered in the Fermi source 3FGL J2039.8-5618. This object has been confirmed as being a redback system, showing an erratic variations in time of the orbital period seen on 10 years of gamma-ray timing, and eclipses of the radio signal seen at 1.4GHz in a previous observation at Parkes with the Multibeam receiver. The emission seen at 1.4GHz is not continuous along the receiver frequency band, but clustered in two ~80MHz bands. This peculiarity has also been seen in a second observation taken three months later. We propose to observe PSRJ2039-5617 with the UWL receiver in order to take data along a much wider frequency band, for studying the mechanisms responsible of the eclipses, its possible variations in time and the peculiar emission seen in the Multibeam observations.
