Aegilops ventricosa 2NS segment and its impact on wheat yield

Yield data for Kansas State University wheat breeding lines (>3000) were collected over the course of more than two decades (1996-2017). Yield data for USDA-Regional Performance Nursery lines (>800) were collected from 1992 to 2015. The lines were genotyped using genotyping by sequencing (GBS). A custom pipeline to predict the presence of alien 2NS segment was carried out for these lines based on GBS data and reference wheat and alien (Aegilops ventricosa) genomes.
