genome analysis of Marinomonas sp. THO17 isolated from seagrass surface

Marine bacteria surrounding seagrass have a potential to promote growth of marine plants and algae. Marinomonas sp. strain THO17 was isolated form leaf surface of seagrass (Thalassia hemprichii), and has an ability to produce auxin (indole-3-acetic acid). In this project, the genome sequence of Marinomonas sp. THO17 was determined, and the related gene for auxin production was explored.栖息于海草周边的海洋细菌具备促进海洋植物与藻类生长的潜在能力。海单胞菌属（Marinomonas）菌株THO17分离自海神草（Thalassia hemprichii）的叶表，且可合成生长素（auxin，吲哚-3-乙酸，indole-3-acetic acid）。本研究完成了Marinomonas sp. THO17的全基因组测序，并对其生长素合成相关基因展开了探究。
