The study was conducted at the Gansu Gannan Grassland Ecosystem National Observation and Research Station, Gansu Province, China (33°44′N, 101°52′E, 3,550 m a.s.l.). The study was conducted in July and August 2018. In the study site, five 20 m × 25 m plots at least 1 km apart were haphazardly selected, and subsequent data collection and field sampling were conducted twice within each plot (one survey per month).

本研究在中国甘肃省甘南草地生态系统国家野外科学观测研究站开展，站点地理坐标为北纬33°44′、东经101°52′，海拔3550米。研究时段为2018年7月至8月。在研究区域内，研究人员随机选取了5个间距不小于1千米的20米×25米样方，随后在每个样方内开展2次数据采集与野外采样工作，每月开展1次调查。
