Site Data from an Archaeological Excavation at Leighton Road, Wingrave, Buckinghamshire, July - August 2020

This collection comprises images, a report, GIS, and CAD data, from an open-area excavation at land off Leighton Road, Wingrave, Buckinghamshire. Works were carried out by Albion Archaeology between July and August 2020, following on from a trial trench evaluation earlier that year, for residential development. The results do not indicate that there was any human habitation on the site. The quantities of settlement-related finds - particularly pottery, animal bone, and charred plant remains - were relatively low. No structural features were present other than scattered postholes that formed no discernable pattern.
