The purpose of the dataset C. elegans terminal bulb aging is to deduce the age of the nemathode based on images of the pharynx terminal bulb (part of the eating apparatus). Images of C. elegans were taken at different chronological ages. This image is part of the day 2 data set. Note that the morphological and chronological ages are not fully correlated due to the variability among individuals even though the individuals are genetically identical. The source for the dataset is Laboratory of Genetics/NIA/NIH.秀丽隐杆线虫（C. elegans）咽终端球衰老数据集的研究目的，是基于摄食器官的组成部分——咽终端球（pharynx terminal bulb）的图像，推断线虫的年龄。该数据集采集了不同日龄的秀丽隐杆线虫图像，本图像为第2日龄数据集的组成部分。需注意：即便个体为遗传同源，由于个体间存在表型差异，其形态学年龄与日龄并非完全相关。该数据集的来源为美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）/美国国立衰老研究所（NIA）遗传学实验室。
