Micro-CT Image Dataset of Cement–EPS Composites Collected in the CEPSCAN Project

This repository contains the dataset produced within the project “CT Scanning for Optimizing Cement–EPS Insulation Material Performances” (CEPSCAN), conducted at the DMEX laboratory of the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA). The research aimed to enhance the performance of an insulation material commonly used in the construction sector, composed of a cementitious matrix and expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads of a few millimeters in diameter, by analyzing CT scans of multiple test specimens. The dataset includes both high- and low-resolution tomographic images acquired in static conditions to investigate different features of the samples, as well as scans performed under external mechanical loading.

本仓库收录了法国波城大学（Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, UPPA）DMEX实验室主持开展的"优化水泥-EPS保温材料性能的CT扫描"项目（CT Scanning for Optimizing Cement–EPS Insulation Material Performances, CEPSCAN）所生成的数据集。本研究旨在优化建筑领域常用保温材料的性能：该材料以胶结基体为基材，复合直径为数毫米的发泡聚苯乙烯（expanded polystyrene, EPS）微珠；研究通过对多组测试试样开展CT扫描分析达成该目标。本数据集包含两类扫描数据：其一为静态条件下采集的高分辨率与低分辨率断层图像，用于探究试样的多项结构特征；其二为施加外部机械载荷时采集的扫描图像。
