PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool configured so that a direction of a tip tool held by the tool can be changed without detaching the tip tool from the tool. SOLUTION: A tool 1 comprises a housing 21 having a grip， a holding part 5 that can hold a tip tool 3， a reciprocating rotation mechanism 6 that generates power for reciprocatingly rotating the holding part 5， and an adjustment mechanism 70. The adjustment mechanism 70 switches the holding part 5 between a non-permission state and a permission state. The non-permission state is a state where the holding part is not permitted to rotate around a virtual shaft with respect to the grip 24 without depending on power. The permission state is a state where the holding part is permitted to rotate around the shaft with respect to the grip 24 without depending on power. SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
