Simulation Data for "DTN Forwarding Based on Local Knowledge for Underwater Acoustic Networks"

This dataset supports the study “DTN Forwarding Based on Local Knowledge for Underwater Acoustic Networks”. It contains per-run scientific metrics and sanitized summaries for 1,650 simulations performed with ns-3.41 and Aqua-Sim Next Generation (Aqua-Sim NG). The experimental matrix covers five underwater scenarios, three DTN buffer capacities, ten independent repetitions, and eleven forwarding policies or operating modes. The release includes per-run metadata, sanitized per-run summaries, aggregated results, data underlying the tables and figures presented in the study, scenario and mode descriptions, checksums, and validation documentation. The dataset also documents the correspondence between the technical simulation seeds and the nominal repetition labels used in the manuscript. The baseline results use the policy-appropriate control profile required to preserve the semantics of each forwarding policy, while the NKG variants use the rich Node State Beacon profile required by their local knowledge model. The provenance and composition of the two simulation campaigns are documented in the accompanying files. The complete per-run simulation artifacts and the source code implementing the underwater DTN framework and forwarding policies are not included in this public release. They are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
